Over 201 million people will be jobless in 2017 - UN

                                                              

The United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres has raised concern over the reality of over 201 million people who will be jobless in 2017, with even an additional 2.7 million people estimated also to add to the number in 2018

 Guttere during a brief to the Commission stated that the world was currently going through a challenging era. In his words “This year, the number of jobless people is expected to exceed 201 million and another 2.7 million could be added to the unemployment rolls by 2018.

 The world according to him is witnessing “anxiety as societies cope with urbanization, climate change, population growth and other mega trends. In this effort, we must give top priority to achieving gender equality and the empowerment of women"

The need for skill acquisition has heightened and one can only survival the massive evolution if one has the skill primarily needed in the ever changing society.
