IGBO SONS AND DAUGHTERS... BUT WHY?
Today I decided to talk about my brothers and sisters. Yes o. They said that all Igbos are related. I don't know how, because there are so many versions of Igbo story. Well, the most interesting is the one they said Eri fell from heaven and gave birth to Nri, and bla bla bla happened and today we are here. Another interesting version is the one that said we are from Isreal. Hahahahaha... Laugh wan tire my boxers... (foul language). Ehe... Back to the matter, why must Igbo people with all their might and powers and creativity and spirit of enterprise and every other God-given talent decide that third place position is better for them in Nigeria politics... Yes, politics. After all, was it not Plato that said we are all political animals; except me sha... Because I am political Human Being. Ndi Igbo why? How did we go from that to this? (this line is borrowed from MI ABAGA's rap line... that short black boy, mtcheeew... some girls still like him, but that's none of my business...) Yes, I asked why?
Let me put it another way. From first Republic till date, apart from Nnamdi Azikiwe and Ekwueme plus Agoyi-Ironsi that all have unfortunate stories when close to the power; why have we not made a huge break into that Aso Rock again? Even Ohaneze Ndi Igbo, socio-cultural group that is supposed to be the apex body of our nation just dey quarrel, dey fight like children.
